GOF is an acronym for Gbenga Olowe and Funke, the team founders of GOF International Schools, located in Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire. The school began in Ejigbo (Osun State) at the Nursery and Primary level in 1986, before the addition of the secondary arm in 1995. This was later followed by the establishment of the Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire) branch in 1999- a move necessitated because of the close ties between Ejigbo indigenes and Cote d’Ïvoire, and also because of parents’ earnest yearnings for an English-oriented curriculum for their children in that diaspora.
To the glory of God and through frantic efforts by GOF over the years, the Osun State Ministry of Education now conducts the Junior Secondary Three (JS3) exams in Ivory Coast for GOF as well as other registered Nigerian Secondary Schools that sprang up afterwards.
GOF International School Osogbo (which also doubles as the administrative headquarters) came into existence in the year 2000 and has since become a frontrunner in educational development across the State at large.
