GOF International Schools observe three terms to make up a full academic session. They include the First, Second and Third Terms in that order.

The first term begins in September and runs through the early weeks of December. The second term commences in January and ends at the end of March or early April. The third term is observed between late April / early May and late July of every year. The State and Federal Ministries of Education are responsible for the release of the school calendar for the yearly academic session.

Each term, whether first, second or third is characterized by the following activities / events:

• First half Term
• Mid – Term Test
• Mid – Term Break
• Second half Term
• Examination
• Vacation.

2010/2011 Session – Monday 13th September, 2010 to Friday 22nd July, 2011

2011/2012 Session – Monday 12th September 2011 to Friday 27th July, 2012

2012/2013 Session – Monday 17th September 2012 to Friday 26th July, 2013

2013/2014 Session – Monday 16th September 2013 to Friday 25th July, 2014

The 2014/2015 Session was previously scheduled to commence on 15th September, 2014 and end on Friday 24th July, 2015 but the uncertainties occasioned by the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease subjected the dates to alteration(s).
